there are lots of multigrade oils under lubrication system in your owners manual. 0w40 is not included because its a new standard. its operating temperature is wider than most oils. better cold start up and better hths than your typical 5w30. higher tbn also. slightly thicker is also better for older engines.

Recommended for vios is 5w30 based on manual. Currently using zic a 10w40 (semi syn). What's the difference of 0w40 and 5w30?

Anung API rating na ok for vios? And good for how many kms? Sorry no idea for diesel engine oils. Thanks

i used 20w-50 before fromthe casa, also tried 5w40, 10w30, 15w40 and 10w40.

wala naman noticeable difference. i dont know of there are scientific proof na mas maganda sa engine yung viscocities na yun. marketing proof, madami.

btw, Delo Gold Ultra is mixed fleet oil so it has a rating of SL for gas engines.

the vios manual allows oils that are SL or later.

I dont know about you people why are you using a thick engine oil for gasoline engine. It would make your car lethargic. 15w40 is wrong for current gasoline engine.

Noted sir. Plan ko kc mag change to fully synthetic kaya torn between zic a+ and shell helix ultra w/ pureplus tech.

Napansin ko sa shell parang mas mahal un helix ultra na 5w30 compare to 0w40 both fully synthetic. Mas mahal nga sa shell hehe. Kaso plan ko din kc magpacheck up ng iba pa sa shell kaya gusto ko try helix ultra. Just don't know what viscosity to choose.

Based sa manual pwede 5w30. Kung mas fuel efficient ang 5w30 un na pipiliin ko. Zic a+ is also 5w30.
