November 11th, 2014 09:03 PM #2941Haaaay ***pert.
Pero pag 10w30 or 5w30 eh walang problema.
Last edited by chookchakchenes; November 11th, 2014 at 09:10 PM.

100% fully synthetic oils= group IV base oils or higher
synthetic oils/synthetic blend etc= group II and group III base with added processes and friction modifiers.
100% fully synthetic oils perform better at every aspect, except the cost which is mas mahal.
the first value in an oil grade 0w/5w/10w/15w represents cold flow.
the lower the better. better flow. less wear. improved fuel consumption.
but lower values are only present in high performance oils, which is mas mahal again.
the second value 20w/30w/40w/50w represents hot flow.
differences in this second value is negligible once engine is hot (operating temp) because engine oil tends to have the same viscosity at operating temp.
not like starting temp where in you want the lowest value so it flows easily and immediately once you start the engine so wear is minimized.
API rating is a general guide to consumers as to what oil is suited to a vehicle as stipulated in their manual.
it is not absolute.
the higher the rating the better.
again oils with higher ratings are more costly. mas mahal.
people should always strike balance, hindi mahal yet provides the best protection and performance for a given price point.
the price of the oil should be commensurate with its performance,
one example are oils used by fleet types of owners and industries,
average price but competitive in performance.
delo/rimula line up etc...

November 11th, 2014 10:03 PM #2950Mahirap matalo pag nasa tama.
Watch me......
