Yes Caltex Station. Really expensive talaga. The Delo Gold Ultra price is from a station in Rizal Ave. The Delo 400 is a station in Malabon area.

Dont know about the auto supplies, but there have been reports of counterfeits around.

Its a shame we don't have a reputable, stable seller of lubricants at reasonable prices in the Philippines.

i have a 1st gen kia sportage kr2 2.0l diesel MT. With mineral oil, i observed it gets thick and sticky after 2 months use, and the idling is rather low, engine is noisy on cold start( the idling will increase and noise will reduce after a while tho). with a fully synthetic oil, the idling and noise is already close to or same as at normal engine operating temp, so i use petron rev-x all-terrain 5w-30 fully synthetic oil at 6 months oil/filter change ever since.

I noticed that most FS oil, the API rating is usually SL/CF or SM/CF. Why is it that there is no FS oil (correct me if im wrong) that is rated higher than CF like CH-4 or CI-4 for diesel?

Sir, madame FS oil na CJ-4,CI-4,SL rated....

pag ang oil kasi ay CI-4 only, usually semi synthetic lang....

Mostly the FS oil ay either Cj-4 or SN specs na.... updated na kasi ang APi rating nila...

Bro, there are other better oils other than rev-x all-terrain than can offer better performance and protection.... for the same or almost near price....

you can try other synthetics which are rated at either 0w40/ 5w40/ 10w40,, these are better suited at our climates

plus monograde pa yan.. so ang tagal nyan mag flow sa oil system mo, possibly abutin yan nang mga 8 seconds para maka flow past the filter and all oil passages...

In my opinion, its a risk on you're part para subukan mo sa auto mo...

a GOOD engine oil will provide the necessary cleaning power that you are looking for...
fully synthetic engine oil has excellent if not the best ability to clean you're engine and maintain its cleanliness...

Pero if want to flush, based on my experience dalawa lang products na i can vouch for cleaning engine internals, either you use
Auto-RX or liqui moly flush plus....

sa auto -rx no doubt sa capabilities niyan.. highly regarded yan both locally and internationally....

kung hindi naman matindi sludge mo at engine varnish, FS oil will surely clean that, give the FS oil at least 2 oil changes and meh improvement na yan...
Sir thanks for the reply. I guess di ko na ttry to hehe risky pala masyado. Last change oil ko was mid January pa and since then 3k+ kms pa lang tinakbo ng oto, 2-3x a week lang kasi nagagamit since wala pa akong pasok. Ok lang ba na sagarin kong 10k or mas maigi mag change oil na before the year ends (in the -ber months)? I used Idemitsu FS oil from Unioil 5w30 on my last oil change.

Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?
