The additive package is the most important part of the oil I rather have a dino oil with high zinc, moly and calcium in it than a semi that has much less. This is like comparing Mobil Delvac Diesel oil to some no name brand synthetic.

Back read and there is one local who know about engine oil. Seems knowlegeable for a filipino

You change your oil with miles not just with months/years. Even with a dino oil.

And oil companies makes oil for the toughest traffic, road conditon on mind.

Philippines is a haven for marketing people. Filipinos are easily fooled.

Probably 5 months for 5k. Not sure. My goal on the Rio is to clean the internals though. Is Top1 SDO + Baldwin filter the best choice? I don't mind using diesel engine oil as long as it has 'detergents' enough to clean the internals in the long run and of course safe to use in gas engines.

Zic a+ is not hdeo like top1 sdo.

    5k for 5months sound good.

You can look at the engine oil fill port to see if its varnished hehehe. Im guessing less than 50k pa ang odo mo. Engine should still be clean.

Im not sure if top1 sdo is also for gasoline engines.

If you want maximum cleaning, shell helix ultra or the helix hx7. Both have good levels of detergent ie calcium.

Hmmm Top1 Catalogue in the USA doesnt include top1 sdo anymore. Lol
