February 13th, 2009 05:45 AM #11Just follow the steps outlined above, personally i've tried it before and was able to identify the cause of my check engine light. If you have any doubts on the whole procedure bring the vehicle to a mechanic.

February 15th, 2009 11:47 AM #12the 96 accords are not obd equipped yet here in the philippines. they come with the simple 3 prong connector that you have to short. then figuring out the trouble code is as simple as counting the number of times the cel on the dash blinks and looking it up on the net.
no need to have long discussions about it since it's super simple to do.
