This is not meant to start a hate campaign, but Fumoto is a great idea... it's just ridiculously overpriced. It's practically just a small ball valve.
I've looked into the economics of it and the only way it will make sense is if you change your oil every couple of weeks!
But hey, if you have a P2+k to burn, it's probably for you.

Once did, long ago. No fault of hand nor tool. Car was regularly, properly maintained & enjoyed. The plug just refused to let go one PMS day. The same day a ready Fumoto went in....still on.
The casa-TLC'd, I've had a few overfill encounters....Fumoto allows effortless correction.[emoji4]

Anyone here can afford that.
The question is. How willing would you go and justify to yourself you really need that?
DIY'ers are after convenience.
Us that dont DIY oil change are after convenience as well....On the lounge sipping coffee and watching.

July 31st, 2019 01:45 PM #39I remember I only changed only a couple of times on my 99 Civic about fifteen years ago. Only because my brother-in-law who’s a certified Honda tech gave me a bunch of those washers.
Before and after that, I just reuse them. Heck, I don’t even torque wrench the plugs.
The reason of diying is not only to save money, but also peace of mind that it was done right.... by you.
This is Philippines’ largest car forum.
How cool is that?
