According to the records, YEN rate during 2012 was YEN 77~80=USD 1 so it was the most expensive time for Japanese goods in the span of 5 years(2012~2016), the current rate is at Y104=$1. Masmahal talaga VIC nung 2012 since palitan ng pera ng hapon ay mahal compared sa ngayon. Chaka usually mas mahal sa ACE hardware due to many factors isa na dun ang rent sa mall.

Thank you for the explanation JapanABC, I checked the other Vic filter I didn't use and it had the markings illustrated in a genuine filter according to their website. I guess it's really a lot cheaper nowadays.

Share ko lang. Been using Vic filters to company fleet vehicles L300 and Isuzu elf vans for more than 10 years with no issues. ito lang past 2 years we tried Purolator, its cheaper and so far no issues.

sa ride ko I tried Vic , purolator and Bosch. Wala naman akong napansin na difference except

yung Bosch mas magaan sa dalawa. And yung last Bosch Oil filter nag leak sa may O ring after 4000km

. puede naman higpitan lang pero i decided to replaced it with Purolator . its the first time it happened to me, naisip ko baka na timing lang may factory defect yung Oring.

anyway balik ako Vic or purolator on my future change oil and filters.

Mas mahal talaga ng di hamak sa ace compared sa autosupply...

Example na lang (medyo OT) and 900 ml na prestone fluid is around 350 sa ace pero 200 lang sa suking auto supply

Malaki pala talaga diff between ace and auto supply. Bumili ako kahapon ng idemitsu mineral oil for gas and diesel 10W30, try ko for my next oil change, at P982, price is half than my regular Honda SS and Mag1 FS, tutal in 6 months hindi naman ako maka 5k kms.
