All oil filters are only efficient as their particle capacity allows them to. So yeah poisoning applies too.
I just do my own experimentation and 5k/10k oil filter changes really doesn't challenge modern oil filters. Kaya nga if your engine isn't a sludge machine you can run them as long as 15k or 20k (better if you oversize filterswith appropriate bypass psi) if you reach that much in a year.

I think my comment is being misconstrued.
As the filter is used, the accumulation of particles can enhance the filter's ability to trap more dirt over time. This is so because the layers of dirt on the filter media creates smaller openings that can trap finer particles that would otherwise go through.
However, the filter media will eventually reach a saturation point where oil flow will begin to suffer. Hence, the need to replace the filter after the prescribed interval.
To be clear, the filtering efficiency gets better over time, while the flow rate goes down over time.
