November 14th, 2020 10:32 PM #11a dead battery will not usually cause the car to stall while driving.
but it will probably not start anymore, once the engine is turned off.
i have a colleague.
she replaces her battery every two years, regardless.
na-matayan na kasi siya ng battery sa bahay.
good luck.
btw,
when i replace my original battery, i opt for the next smaller size.
i did not notice shortness of battery life.
car is stock. no aftermarket electrical toys.Last edited by dr. d; November 14th, 2020 at 10:35 PM.

November 14th, 2020 11:20 PM #12Kung luma na ang sasakyan, possible din na maluwag na ang carbon brush na naka kabit sa starter rotor. Nangyari ito sa 17 year old car dati.
Depende sa engine temperature minsan kung maluwag na tolerance nito nag loose contact na.

November 14th, 2020 11:46 PM #13i re-read your post again, and...
yikes!
i mis-understood!
re-reading it again...
i think that's your starter solenoid, po.
have someone see it. if i am correct, it will only get worse.
one day, you won't be able to start your car anymore. ... not even if you replaced your battery.
it's sometimes difficult to diagnose starter solenoid problem, because they are initially intermittent...Last edited by dr. d; November 15th, 2020 at 01:25 AM.

Get a voltmeter that can be attached to the cigarette lighter socket
A car battery contain 6 cells..each cell carry 2.1volts for a total of 12.6volts
A dead cell will reduce that to 10.5volts and so on and so forth
When the engine is running the voltage reading of the voltmeter should be => 13.5volts. Otherwise, the alternator is not functioning properly
If the voltmeter reading is in proper order, then it's not the battery nor the alternator
Get that tool and it will save you a lot of money and trouble
