Geely has been the poster boy of Chinese cars in the Philippines. I wonder how this will affect people's perception for other Chinese car brands.

for me, having a brand new car repainted by the local distributor is nothing new...

pero a car having mechanical issues without a possible solution is not good.

Thats true. Remember we have only 2 local car factories in the Philippines, so majority are shipped and then stored in open-air lots so they are exposed to salt, heat and rain. I topped up at a gas station along SLEX next to a car-carrier filled with SUVs that rhymes with "dearest" and they all had water stains, the white colored SUVs in particular had very prominent brown lines. The pahinante said they would be repainted/buffed when it reached the dealers though.

I had my OJT in one of those casas along Shaw Boulevard (wala na ngayon) and I confirm this. Nakasama pa ko one time nung nagpick up from Batangas. Madaling araw tapos hataw sa SLEX. Hugot daw ang speedometer kaya mababa pa rin mileage pagdating sa casa.

Unfortunately lumalabas posts nila sa feed ko, mga fanatics na dino down ang other brands (especially Toyota) para palabasin na mas maganda Geely nila

the geely owners are just having fun with their geelys.
not much akong nakitang nan-lait nang ibang brand.

It's unfortunately been appearing on my feed for several weeks and I saw a lot of pang lalait. Maybe the mods and admin have deleted it na? or probably ibang Geely group yung nakikita ko, pero definitely they look down on other non Geely car owners
