It would have been nice to get the 1.4L Turbo =)
I got my Cruze before they started making the DVD/GPS standard in the units...darnit! hehe.
anyways..i'm still satisfied with it overall. The best is to really shop around, look for the best deals.
Sometimes instead of a big discount, you can get rims, entertainment system, TVs for headrests or actual rims as a spare tire instead of steel rims, etc.

Leslie Sy, Kotse.com's Online Guru: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze 2.0 TDCi
Last year's Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Cruze, is back! This time, it's packing a 2.0L turbo diesel engine under the hood.

The new Cruze TDCi still had all the wonderful things that made this car a winner - the plush ride, good handling, comfortable spacious interior, and the same great looks. My only gripe last time around was the automatic transmission's relatively slow response. Now, even with the more powerful turbodiesel engine, the problem seems to be back. The engine just takes too much time to wind up, but once it gets up and going, it goes like a locomotive.

On a more sensible note, the diesel has more than enough low end torque to smoothly sail the Cruze up to highway speeds. Road imperfections are handled well by the Cruze's suspension and any road noise is damped down to a whisper. Chevy seems to have kept the winning formula in the Cruze, but with the bigger price tag, will it be enough to bag this year's COTY?

I just got the car today and it's the ls a/t variant. I'm very, very pleased driving it back home. It was a smooth drive (compared to the honda city i used to drive), sound system was very nice and i really like the lcd touch screen monitor

I have a question to the owners of cruze. On my way back home, I drove the car in SLEX and reach the speed of 110 km/h (rpm around 2500). My dad told me to drive it only around the speed of 60-70 km/h for the first 500 km (for the break-in) and increase the speed average gradually afterwards (e.g. 80-90 km/h for 1000km). He used to do it in our previous cars (city and crv). I'm not sure if this is true or not (but there's a saying that father's knows best hehehe). So to all the owners, do you do the break in to your cruze after you brought it?

theres also a saying that fathers are sometimes old fashion. lol.

actually...break in the car..wag lang e-redline and yes, you can drive it further than 100kph.
just avoid sudden acceleration and brakes.

    enjoy your new ride.

Na break-in na ang cruze bago pa napapasa-atin kaya nung deniliver saken hataw kaagad pag-uwi.

Am not sure about that 27km na nasa odo mo, baka yan yong tinakbo pagdeliver ng cruze from casa papunta sa place mo. Pero yan ang pagkasabi saken noon na na-break in na yan kaya pwede ng ihataw, pero syempre di ko pinalagpas muna sa 100kph.....

Ok, thanks for the reply. Although I'm not sure if that's true or not, but anyways I'll drive it the way suggested in the manual. Thanks for the replies again!
