my cruze still at 200kms odo reading and i will do the above scheduled pms schedule that i suggested.
    thanks for the suggestion.

actually, mura nga lang, so cost doesn't really matter that much.

as i said, i'm looking for the official version of PMS of Philippine Cruze.

ganito kasi yan. for instance, the manual says to change oil every 5000 kms. what if i skip it? i think that every 40000 kms is ok for spark plugs. so i don't change at 5000 kms. then all of a sudden there is a problem with my catalytic converter during the warranty period.. kunwari lang to ha. hypothetical lang. the dealership will now have a reason to say they will not replace the catalytic converter because records show that i didn't replace my spark plugs at 5000 kms AS RECOMMENDED IN THE MANUAL. even though other sites, and even an earlier post in this thread, recommend changing the cruze's sparks plugs at 40000 km or so. so which one will they honor? so it's not about what WE think is good for our cruze. but what i'm after is what schedule will be free of loopholes as far as warranty is concerned. for Philippine Cruze, that is.

mahirap ba yung point ko? hehe

    3. Labor - P440.00 flat rate

    Other schedule:
    Spark plugs - every 2 years/40,000 km
    Brake fluid - every 2 years / 40,000 km
    Coolant fluid - every 3 years / 60,000 km
    Timing belts - every 3 yeras / 60,000 km

    Indeed value for money!
This is a post in this thread by awberdos. According to this, spark plugs are changed every 40000 kms or 2 years.

My manual says to change spark plugs every 5000 kms.

It's either I didn't read the manual correctly (like my eyes are playing tricks), or it's a misprint.

So which one now is correct?

BTW, sir awberdos, what was your source for the above? Just curious if it's from TCCCI. :-)

    may point ka nga hehehe

if you figure it out which pms manual to follow, you should make sure also that any minute details of work that is being done to your car should also be written in details in the pms booklet. often times service mechanics will just log their name on the booklet and signed it. that should free you of any loopholes in the future.

Does your manual have this 'sticker' that states the updated scheduled maintenance by your chevy service center? Because my manual has this sticker for my new scheduled maintenance for my Cruze, the same sched that awberdos/awallit posted here before.

    Other schedule:
    Spark plugs - every 2 years/40,000 km
    Brake fluid - every 2 years / 40,000 km
    Coolant fluid - every 3 years / 60,000 km
    Timing belts - every 3 yeras / 60,000 km

    Sorry for OT.

Does all your Cruze came out with plastic cover/protector underneath your engine as seen on the picture below or its just for the 2.0? Thanks. Just curious..

No, I don't have that sticker update on my manual. So the spark plug change every 5000 kms as stated in my manual must be a typo after all.

On PMS: I did verify this before and it is to my understanding that since there is no 1K PMS for the cruze, the very 1st PMS is on the 10K and every 10K thereafter. It's in my Warranty Booklet as well.

In the event na may masira na parts which is 'part' of the PMS, then I guess it is solely the responsibility of the car company to correct this since I (we) just follow the 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K etc schedule.
