"swamp coolers", some folks call them. more accurately, they are called 'evaporative coolers'.
no, these gadgets do not have freon nor compressor, as what regular aircons have. this may be a clue that these coolers may not be as satisfying as regular aircons.

there are many reviews of these things in the internet. watch them, sir.

This is similar in function of an evaporative air cooler. It runs only on USB or a 5V adapter. This might not help even a room that is small due to its size. You probably needed a bigger version of these that runs on 220V AC power.

Wanna stay cool without turning the AC on? Don't grab that humidifier, that's good for dry regions/seasons, not the tropics....Grab the opposite, sir, a DEHUMIDIFIER. It’ll suck the moisture off the room. You'll feel a lot fresher and less sticky...& it aids your fan.
Bonus... helps eliminate mildew, dust, odors(armpits included as perspiration dries faster with it[emoji4]) & some allergens, too.

Dry air is overrated. It makes your skin dry up and sometimes cause allergies to flare up (skin allergies and respiratory ailments). At the least, if the humidity in my home goes below 40%, if I scratch my skin, bakat yung nails ko.

Besides discomfort and potential health issues, if the humidity is too low, it may not be able to dissipate static electricity. In other words, if you find yourself being zapped when you touch metal objects after standing up from a chair, couch, etc., the air is too dry.

I ordered an AKG earbuds from shoppee last week wednesday since it's local i expect it to be arrived in few days. It should arrive yesterday but it wasn't.

I recently checked on the app that my parcel has arrived at my neareast J&T branch in better living since yesterday, so I can simply go to that nearest J&T branch / station today and I will pick up my parcel and pay it there. My payment method was COD.

Any tsikoteers tried this? Picking up the parcel at J&T and not to a delivery courier?

This is when air is too dry....which it hardly gets here w/ a portable dehumidifier, or even an AC.... unless you seal the room airtight to keep outside air off like a plane or get into an industrial dehumidifying chamber like those used to further dry kiln-dried wood.
Got 2 rooms w/ significantly different humidity conditions. The degree of comfort difference is like hell & earth....AC is heaven.[emoji4]

There's a only a range of humidity that is most comfortable to humans and it's not fixed. It works with the ambient temp (relative humidity) that gives you that sensation of comfort or discomfort.

Just stating that dry air is better is really over-simplifying it.
