this may be a stupid question but if i were a shareholder w/:
a. 500000 shares w/ a par value of .01
b. 100000 shares w/ a par value of .01
c. 10000 shares w/ a par value of .01
and that company closed at .68 last fri, what's their value as of last week?
i just want to confirm if i'm correctly calculating their value. pls help

par value means nothing unless you're the accountant responsible for preparing financial statements.
what you might be asking is how to calculate your gains on your investment...that is simply the current market price of a share, minus the price you paid per share, times the number of shares you have.
