The more you use your card (up to the limit) and are able to pay it ... they will increase credit limit automatically ... if you just use way below the limit, there's no reason for them to increase it ... there are other metrics that are used but this is one of them ...

Monthly bill was between 50 to 65k If I recall.
Over 1M invested in Solar. Close to 2M ata for a 40kW install
But at this point he is EXPORTING electricity to Meralco

Reading nya for the month of March:


6300kWh would have been 71k (at P11/kWh), naging zero bill.

Bilis din ng ROI. 1.9M / 70k = just over two years to amortize that at zero bill, even faster if Meralco is paying you generation charge for exported power.

Edit: Just asked him about the exported power. Meralco pays, but in credits lang daw, so you don't actually get cash for it. But those credits can be stored up and when he gets a cloudy month the bill is taken from those credits first before paying any money, so pwedeng zero bill pa din.

Meralco allows up to 100kW ata according to a solar installer I've spoken with, but they're working to expand it to 1MW.

For companies with a large building (like warehouses, retail parking with solar roofing) that might be achievable.

Nag oil change ako and registration renewal kahapon, tuloy nakita ko ung resibo ng battery ko, 2 years old na pala and ang tinakbo lang ay 2,700 kms. So napakwenta tuloy ako, nasa 48k/year pala ang maintenance cost ko and hindi pa kasama ang palitin na brake pads, drive belt at fuel filter and wala pa itong comprehensive insurance. Nabangga ko pa sa poste sa parking hehe, so repair pa. Malabo na ang I-Mid at bubbly na ang tint.

All this for 112 kms/month na gamit? And it depreciates pa. Practicality dictates na dapat ibenta na ito, kaso wala kaming back up pag nagka problem ung isa.

Practically none needed. Just like your current house electrical system wala naman moving parts, but some solar owners schedule inspection every 2-3 years. This is mostly to wash any dirt or dust off the solar panels and visually inspect the system, check breakers etc.

2M for 40 Kw is very very low ... that's not even counting the battery cost ... ROI is 4-6 years in the Philippines ... 2-3 year ROI is very very good or could be miscalculation ...
