May 10th, 2023 12:41 PM #102from financial companies,
"warning! we will not be responsible for loss brought about by careless handling of your vital information!"
heh heh.
ilang beses na akong tinawagan ng CC company, verifying my so-called latest transaction.
"yespo. ako nga. nasa SG ako ngayon, bumili nang...."
but i am wondering, what will they do, should my answer be, "hindi ako yon! confined sa hospital ako for the past three days!"
is it too late to reverse the charges?

May 10th, 2023 12:46 PM #104it probably depends on how fast these managers respond to the red flags.
if an account suddenly bursts with lotsa money...
if the account suddenly is drained of large amount of money...
our suking banco's manager one day came up and asked, "doc, malaki yata yang withdrawal nyo."
"yespo. bibili nang bagong kotse."
he sighs.
"doctor, alam mo ba, outstanding ang performance nang banco natin, except for car loans."
"bakit po?"
"cold cash kasi lagi kayo pag bili nang kotse. walang car loans."
lifting the bench. buhat bangko.

the public wants a payment system/money transfer system that's low friction
ung madali gamitin, mabilis
so companies minimize the steps to send money from one account to another
if you demand more security, what you actually want is more friction
you want companies to add more steps

May 10th, 2023 02:03 PM #109it is bad business practice to openly blame one's costumers, even as the latter are guilty as hell... it tends to shoo away potential and current costumers.
instead of pinpointing blame, they go along the lines of, "what can we do to make it a win-win situation for both of us?"
until when the case goes to court,
in which case,
business will try to put the blame on the erred costumer.Last edited by dr. d; May 10th, 2023 at 02:12 PM.
