ADB may $15M investment sa dali

may mga nauna pa sa ADB at mas malaki pa investment
but only government and charity can afford to operate long-term, at a loss.
so what's the point in operating at a net loss or brake even?

dati businesses need to show investors they're profitable before they'd receive capital from outside

now businesses only have to show fast growth -- have lots of users (for example grab, shopee)

in the world of startups you need to be an early investor

when the valuation of the company skyrockets you're along for the ride (you wanna enter at the first floor and ride the elevator up)

for example facebook had very early investors

years later when facebook went public, they made a ton of money

(enter first floor ride elevator up)

early investors aren't really concerned about profitability as long as the business sees a lot of user growth

as the business becomes more popular it will attract more investors -- allowing earlier investors to cash out

later investors who are stuck (nobody they can dump their investment on) will begin to demand profitability

But is Dali doing a penetration pricing strategy lang? Will they increase prices eventually when they have their target market share? It seems like Puregold ang tinatamaan ng Dali. Ang maganda sa Dali they dont just attract price conscious customers like those of Puregold.

    expansion mode ngayon ang dali

they're not yet concerned about profitability

they're using investor cash to build stores, pay rent, pay overhead

parang mang nasal before it was sold to jollibee

open nang open ng branches, attract customers with unli rice

became so popular they caught the attention of the big boys and eventually got bought by one of the big boys

dali is starting to catch the attention of the biggest retailers in PH

Dali has been expanding even to the smallest town in the provinces.
during the Holiday break i was able to go to my families province and low and behold mayrun na Dali.
Mind you, that our town only has one 7-11 store that opened less than 10 years ago. Yet ngayon may Dali na.

The Dali I go to, lawak ng parking, wala masyado tao, staff are SUPER nice. They have European products. Quality at a cheap price. It's a nice experience to shop there. Ewan ko lang on weekends kasi I always go off peak on a weekday hehe.

Samin sa Laguna ang daming Dali!
