July 26th, 2018 01:24 PM #1I'm skeptical on this. From what I know the branch manager of a bank and the credit card division of a bank are two separate and autonomous entities and though while bank managers can recommend clients they know to be given credit cards, they cannot dictate on the credit card division if the credit card division decline their recommendation for whatever reason. Unless the client can talk directly to the one in charge of the credit card division ... that's another story.

July 27th, 2018 09:35 AM #5Then you will have to do a delicate balancing game.
First you have to find out what "substantial" is to the bank in question. Different banks, different amount for sure. And while the BM may consider your deposits substantial, the credit card division may not. So you have to find out on two fronts.
Second, you have to gauge how aggressive their credit card division is in looking to snare credit card clients. The more aggressive, the better for the applicant. But if the credit card division is looking for quality instead of quantity, you're out of luck.
Third, will you really pull out your account if the bank denies you a credit card?
Take PNB. My mom was "aggressively" being offered a Visa credit card by the BM, free for life annual. Yet her account with them is barely over 4M. Why is that? Probably because PNB credit card division is aggressive in getting clients to sign up for their Visa credit card?
While my friend who I'm sure had deposits higher than 10M -- well you know the story.
But yes, if the BM has clout or has close friends he/she can influence inside the credit card division, that may work in your favor if the BM recommends you.

July 27th, 2018 09:24 AM #10Kung good account holder ka i dont think magkakaron ka problem sa pagkuha ng credit cards depende sa amount ng pera mo sa bangko. Sometimes when you pay near your credit limit next transaction they will double your limit. It really depends on your account status. Kung puro delay payment ka e sorry ka nalang[emoji16]
