SHOW BRIEFMANILA AUTO SALON 2010 is Philippine car customizing and tuning at its best! It’s where leaders in the automotive aftermarket scene converge and everyone gets “Mad About Styling and Tuning!” It will gather under one roof, local and international manufacturers, distributors and dealers of the automotive aftermarket industry with three exciting shows – 15th Custom Car Show , 15th Sport Truck Show and the 4th Mobile Electronics and Technology Show. The 4th Manila Auto Salon organized by Tradeshow International, Inc. is the country’s largest automotive aftermarket show. Over 150 customized cars, SUVs and sport trucks will be showcased and will be competing for the Best of Show awards. Over 30 of the best vehicles with mobile set-ups will be displayed in the the 4th Mobile Electronics & Technology Show while the country’s best performance cars will vie once again for the Ultimate Tuner Award .

2. “Zero to Hero Automotive Workshop” by: Speedlab (Nov. 18-21)
After a very successful launch in MAS last year, witness again as Speedlab does a total transformation of another stock car to a rock star sensation in four days only at Manila Auto Salon. SpeedLab along with Federal, OMP, Rota,Z works Eneos and Emotion will take a new Mitsubishi Lancer EX and turbo charge it over the course of 4 days right in front of the audience! Intakes, headers, suspension, brakes and more will be installed, giving the audience an inside look on how modifications are done with high quality aftermarket components proven to work and improve performance. See it live from STOCK to ROCK only at the 2010 Manila Auto Salon!


3. TRS –Manila Auto Salon Virtual Track Challenge by Tuason Racing School. Race the best local tracks on board the TRS Race car and see if you have what it takes to be a Race Car Driver.

4. Champions of the Future: calling kids 8-12, dreaming of being a race car driver. Check out the TRS Champions of the Future Racing Display and get a chance to participate in this grassroots kart racing program.



5. “Manila Auto Salon in Miniature” A Die Cast Car Exhibition
by Die Cast Car Collectors of the Philippines

While car buffs and motoring aficionados are gearing up to display their tricked out rides, so will DCPH. The Die-cast Car Collectors of the Philippines or easily said as DCPH will be displaying their members’ best collections in various scales as part of the forthcoming Manila Auto Salon. Theme for the miniature car display will be tuner cars or cars that have been modified and are no longer stock or of factory specs. Visitors can expect to see drift cars, street racers and hot rods of all shapes and sizes.



6. “1st Philippine Nostalgic Motor Show 2011” A Sneak Preview

Select nostalgic vehicles restored to show condition will be on special display as part of the promotional series of the 2011 Philippine Nostalgic Motor Show which will be staged simultaneously with the 20th Anniversary Edition of the Trans Sport Show and the 4th Manila Sports Car Club Concours d’ Elegance In May next year at the SMX Convention Center.



7. EMMA Philippines 3rd leg Regional Competitors’ Challenge , A sound off competition for SQ, ESQL & Multi-Media Categories. (Open Parking) - (Nov. 20-21)

EMMA (European Mobile Media Assn.) Philippines is holding its 3rd leg of the EMMA Philippines Regional Competition Leg 3 in Manila together with Manila Auto Salon at SMX (Front Open Parking Grounds). This will give more mobile enthusiasts a chance to qualify for the finals which will happen in January 2011.

Latest Automotive Aftermarket Trends
at the Manila Auto Salon

The latest in car customizing and performance enhancements will be showcased at the 2010 Manila Auto Salon which opens on November 18-21 at the SMX Convention Center , Mall of Asia Complex. Over 150 “Project Vehicles” will be presented by the country’s leading custom car/sport truck builders and tuners with mild to wild modifications on exterior, interior , engine and suspension all participating in four major competitions – 15th Custom Car Competition, 15th Sport Truck Competition, 4th SUV Competition and the 4th Extreme Tuner Competition.

“The Philippine automotive aftermarket industry has a big potential for global recognition in the area of automotive restyling and restoration. I am consistently amazed with the quality and level of workmanship of our local customizers as far as bodykit design and manufacturing is concerned as well as vehicle restoration. I guess, this is largely due to the Filipino's natural tendency to hold on to his car for as long as he could (the life span of a car in the Philippines is around 10 years) hence, customizing and restoring it to his personal taste and satisfaction becomes a necessity” says Sophie delos Santos, President of Tradeshow International, Inc. and organizer of the event.

Some of the entries much awaited by Manila Auto Salon enthusiasts are the custom conversions of A-Toy Bodykits who always sets a trend in automotive restyling in the Philippines. He will have fourteen “project vehicles” to be launched in the show. The "DC/ROCKSTAR Drift Car " is one of the several highlights of his pavilion. A cefiro converted to an R34 Skyline body with a mean 1JZGTE Twin turbo supra engine (380+ whp). More to see are his custom conversions (SEMA-inspired) like mobile "stores", "party" buses, mobile "lounges", and a unique mobile "rest area" complete with shower, toilet, sink, and sleeping area .

Another first for Manila Auto Salon is a very special display of the 1928 Graham-Paige of the courageous Herman and Cande Zapp who traveled (and are still traveling) around the world with this vintage car with their children for ten years now. From ARGENTINA, ALASKA, on a raft on the Amazon River, ruins in Mexico ... all in a 1928 automobile. The Zapp family will share their dream to see the world, with us as they tell their story at the Manila Auto Salon.

In cooperation with EMMA Philippines (European Mobile Media Associaton), over 30 of the best vehicles with mobile set-ups will be competing in the 3rd Leg EMMA Regional Competitors Challenge for 2010 . SQ, ESQL and Multi-Media categories will be opened. This event is a feature of the 4th Mobile Electronics and Technology Show. There will be an Automotive Workshop featuring the 2nd “Zero to Hero” on-the-spot custombuilding and tuning of a project car by Speedlab in 4 days! Tuason Racing School together with Manila Auto Salon will stage the TRS- Manila Auto Salon Virtual Track Challenge for show visitors. For the toy car enthusiasts, the Die Cast Collectors of the Philippines will display Manila Auto Salon in Miniature featuring one of a kind die-cast collections which will surely captivate the model/die-cast car hobbyists. For the two-wheeled enthusiasts, there will be the special display of motorbikes by Ducati Philippines and bicycles by Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival.
