Remote Keyless Systems - Do you check if the car is really locked?

dun sa isang remote door lock ko, nag-auto lock siya after some period of time. pero kung mayroon "door ajar", di rin siya mag-lock. So I usually press the lock button even with the auto lock and check the doors after.

dun naman sa isa, di siya mag-lock unless you do so. if you want to check kung na-lock nga you do it sa 3 other doors, not the driver side door since nag-unlock siya by touch. it won't lock din kung naka-ACC status siya. minsan kasi me tinatapos pa ako panoorin sa TV or pakinggan sa radyo kaya naka-ACC siya. Same kung naka-engage pa ang kambyo. So minsan pag-pindot ko ng Lock button, nothing happens, so I had to check everything.

if with key:
sometimes, in some model alarms, if we wait too long, pulling on the driver's door sets off the obnoxious alarm.
some models will not let you pull out the key, if on ACC status.

Meron touch then pull to check pero parang nakakaalangan pa din. Kaya kung may kasama ako, pinapalayo ko key saka check.

The front doors will only unlock if you insert your whole hand on the handle... you can still check if it's lock by pulling the outer part na lang... or as all the other said... the rear doors.

I believe the sensor kasi to unlock is behind the door handle hence the need to insert the hand or sometimes when you place anything solid behind the handle.

Ang main concern nya is how to confirm if the front door actuators are working Best option siguro is silipin ang mga locks. If you don't see the red marks then they're locked. Mahirap tanggalin ang habit especially if you're used to pulling all door handles before leaving the car.

Do you check (at least 1 door) if the car is locked?

Or do you just walk away?

I trust the walk away auto lock, may beep naman.

Bihira ko na lang din mahawakan yung key. Lock by walking away, unlock by touching the handle. Smart keys are really convenient.

Kahit naman hindi ma lock, wala mananakaw sa loob.

Yes eto nakasanayan ko na yata double check lang sa lahat ng door kung nakalock talaga.
