when buying from amazon kung minsan mae-enganyo ka bumili nung next higher model - since ang liit naman ng difference, so iisipin mo "yung mas mahal na lang ng konti kasi mas maganda features". but the reality of using it in the philippines is that you won't be able to use these features because gps support in the phl is not that mature yet. actually if not for roadguide and osm we'd be in the dark. ah oo nga pala, meron accumap...
i would have bought the wt versions kung merun traffic advisory support, yung bluetooth, well, sayang naman yung jabra, yung "speaks" street names pwede na rin, pero i could also live without. so ang bagsak ko... nuvi205w. the only problem with my unit is that i can't seem to get the "easter egg" to work! sayang yung mga track contributions ko, tsk, tsk, tsk

There are other features on higher end models that may still be applicable locally. Just to name a few, there's trafficTrends/myTrends, multi-destination routing and voice command. Yun nga lang... talagang high-end; Nuvi 3790T

magpa-hand carry ka from US ng 205W for less than 5k. mag-member ka roadguide and contribute. pag may nagka-kursunada ng 205W mo (yung mga inosente sa gps) ibenta mo ng 10k (kasi nga may contributor map). bumili ng 265W sa mga sellers sa roadguide (marami dun mag-abang ka lang) for 8,500 sometimes less, request ka 2nd unlcock code kay judge. ayus! that's how i upgraded hehe.

hehe
konti lang difference nung 205w sa 265W. from the top of my mind:
265W: "speaks" street names - e.g. "turn left at quezon avenue"
205w: "turn left in 50 meters" lang
265W: with bluetooth connectivity for handsfree operation of your phone
205W: wala
yung iba features hindi ko naman nagamit. twice pa lang naman ako nailigaw ng gps ko.

Sa ngayon nga kaka-register ko pa lang sa roadguide.ph. Nahihilo ako sa dami na rin ng thread and of how do i give my own contribution if i haven't known anything from my garmin nuvi aside from using it lang!
Hindi rin pala madaling makakuha ng updated roadmap. So, i will just keep reading at roadguide.ph and learn how to contribute at probably get the updated version! Goodluck!
