Yes, most do but they are not accurate.
The most accurate (I would say 8 out of 10) real time traffic update is Google Map. After I check Google Map on my phone, I check Waze's traffic status and compare the two. Sometimes they conflict each other so I just choose one route by instinct.

My onboard nav have real time traffic monitoring but honestly, I rarely get to use it. The routes I usually travel hardly experience traffic unlike some areas.
I have Waze on my phone but rarely use it too. I don't touch my phone while concentrating on my driving. I guess Waze is a fun app to have for whatever purpose it serves. Just my two cents

If you drive within the speed limit and you know where to go then Waze is of minimal value.
But if you are like me who drives at speeds in excess of xxmph over the limit, then I recommend Waze to complement a radar detector.
I pass an interstate where cops use instant on radar guns so my RD won't be able to sniff them.
Also, I have used it a few times when I drove to Orlando or Chicago where traffic can add hours of your travel because of road block or accident.
I only use Waze for those purposes. For navigation, I use my on-board GPS.

October 9th, 2013 08:14 AM #56I've been using Waze for the last month and I,m very happy with this free app. In my route in Metro Manila, accurate to within 5 minutes yung ETA estimate nya. Me choices of route pa with ETA and distance to be travelled.
Hindi ko na tuloy nagagamit yung Garmin ko. Mas accurate pa yata yung routing nya kesa Roadguide and official Garmin map. Google already bought this app and Smart offers a promo for Waze users without unlimited internet plan. P2 lang for exclusive 3 hours of Waze use.
Join na kayo. Mutually beneficial, kasi you also help update the road traffic as you pass by.
Sana lang ma-improve yung search functions to include intersection and address.

I use waze to plan my trips. Although my route is pretty routine from pasig to makati and back, i do have lots of route options to take. And if I see a road with traffic in a complete standstill, i take another route. Its a nifty app. I also contribute to it when i'm stuck in traffic.

October 9th, 2013 08:22 AM #58Isa lang ang di gusto sa Waze, low batt palagi yung luma kong S2 smart phone kahit naka connect pa sa car charger. Mapapabili tuloy ako ng newer cellphone with a high batt mAh to enjoy Waze he he.

October 10th, 2013 08:33 AM #59Waze is only good for urban areas where there is significant traffic. Outside Metro Manila and other Metro areas, the map is very, very incomplete so you still need other navigation apps/devices.
