It may not flood in your houses... but how about the possibility of being caught while on the road?

malamang dahil sa ondoy. di na free and AOG pag nag-renew ka ng comprehensive auto insurance. :sigh:

Yup. But I think it was never "free" to start with. Naka cost-in na usually yan sa premium. Maganda lang pakinggan kung sinabi nilang free. At most, discounted lang yung price for AoG.
Pero, from here on, expect strong marketing campaign from non-life insurance agencies in selling their AoG/AoN package. May ad na nga Malayan sa newspaper for home insurance. I felt that it was too insensitive of them to release it this early. Parang may connotation kasi na "Ayan, wala kasi kayong coverage eh."

October 3rd, 2009 05:09 AM #77My comprehensive insurance is up for renewal this Oct. 10. Three weeks ago nagpa quote nako how much aabutin come renewal time. Sa quotation nila free naman, which was the case for the past 2 years free ang AOG ko (Standard Insurance). Total insurance fee is 13,500++. Nag inquire ulit ako kahapon. And as expected, may additional .5% na for the total sum insured (so around 3K++ additional). Ngayon 16,500 na aabutin ko.
Share ko lang na AOG is not only limited to flooding which comes first into our mind right now dahil kay Ondoy. Protection pa rin ito to any AOG like kung lumindol at mabagsakan ng bubong, pader, puno at marami pang ibang AOG. Small additional amount lang for protection against the total cost ng mga auto natin na pinaghirapan natin bilihin (at hinuhulugan pa like in my case) hehe.
Be safe everyone.

thats very very unlikely. they will of course always include liabilities for AOG but most likely will increase the premiums. sa insurance, you can include all risks - the only caveat is that the insurer will ask for higher premiums. sa kanila, the higher the premiums the better. its all about assessing the risks properly and determining the proper premium for the said risks - the ultimate aim of which is that the insurer profits from the arrangement at an acceptable price point for the insured.
