Questions on comprehensive car insurance:
1.) Isang claim lang ba valid ang car insurance per year? If you are involve in 2 or more accidents a year, pwede bang i-claim un sunod na accident?
2.) For old cars, let say 10 yr old above. Is it feasible or valuable to have it enrolled in a comprehensie car insurance? or CTPL should already suffice.

yes kahit ilang accidents..
yung ibang insurance hindi na tumatanggap nang 10 yrs above.. lugi ka din kasi.. aside from participation.. baka 80% to 90% on parts ikaw na din babayad dahil sa depreciation.. so useless yung comprehensive.. mag ipon ka na lang nang fund for repairs.

October 8th, 2012 10:30 PM #3181. Wala namang limit as long as you dont go over your sum insured. Of course, if you have multiple claims or a big claim, chances are they wont renew your policy next year, either that or they will increase your premium.
2. The insurance companies do not want to accept old vehicles for compre insurance coverage. And theres a big reason why. They have more claims than the newer vehicles. So that means it is better for owners of older vehicles to insure their cars, that is if there are any takers. As long as you have a car, it is always advisable to have a compre insurance. Not only for the own damage claim of your vehicle, but more so for third party accidents. Maximum participation for parts replaced is 45% of the value of the parts for cars older than 7 years and 50% for mechanical parts like suspension, tires, etc.. If youre saving on money, you can have the option to replace the damaged collision parts with surplus, in which case you dont need to share in the cost of the parts. No participation on the depreciation.
