I applied to three banks (BPI, PSBank, BDO) for an auto loan.
So far, PSBank has sent me a message that my loan was approved.
The other two, ang dami pang hinihingi.
Anyone who has an experience having a car financed with PSBank?
The PSBank branch manager also called me personally to indicate that my loan was approved. However, she also told me that if I was already talking to a dealer at may usapan kami, mas mabuti daw na wag na lang, at yung bank na lang directly ang makikipag-transact with the dealer of the car I wanted. Ok ba yun? Will I get a better (or worse) deal out of this? I'm thinking that the bank would want to get a better rate by scouting around the different dealers themselves. Pero sana, makakuha pa rin ako ng freebies, esp. free 3-year LTO registration, tutal eh cash basis naman ang transaction between the bank and the dealer.
Or should I wait for the other banks to approve my application?
Thanks in advance!

Sa mga kumukuha ng car loan. Aside from the downpayment, LTO, and insurance, do not forget that there is another fee na babayaran. maraming nagugulat dito kasi mas mas malaki pa ito sa LTO and Insurance sometimes. Ingat.

*TheShrike, I'm currently paying mine thru psbank on our other vehicle. Yes, go for it. It's pretty safe and they'll offer you a better alternative on insurance and chattel mortgage (lower). No, the freebies will depend on the dealer if they'll be giving out freebies. HTH!
*meledson, sir, I think what you are refering to is chattel mortgage, this is compulsary for banks.

August 30th, 2007 01:49 PM #67Hi Guys! I'm stillin the research stage of getting a car loan. OK ba ang Auto Insurance na nakasama na sa monthly amortization (for the duration of my loan) para di na daw apply ng apply every year?
Sa BPI Auto Loan ito, to quite their website: "EC Pay means Economical & Convenient Pay Auto Insurance. With BPI Family Savings Bank Drive your Dream Auto Loan, you don't need to shell out cash for your car insurance! Your insurance premiums will be packaged into your loan. Compared with other insurance plans, EC Pay offers you one of the lowest insurance premiums in the market, and it is co-terminus with your loan so renewal is automatic. There will be no hassles of following up with your insurance agent every year!" OK ba ito? Or mahirap matali sa ganito?

im not familiar with this pero ok tlga sa budget kung amortized din ang insurance. actually may mga iba insurance institutions din ang nag-ooffer ng ganto setup. ang drawback lng dito ay for example naaksidente ka, you cannot claim your insurance unless bayaran mo yun buo premium mo. cguro kung maingat ka na tlga magmaneho at masasabi mo sa sarili mo hndi ka maaaksidente for the duration of your loan, then this might be a good deal.
