BYD also have OTA updates.
Unfortunately, what I saw in socmed was that their BYD won't start/run because it needs an update to be completed.
But cannot complete the update because the data signal was crappy due to it was parked in the basement.

Im assuming Tesla might also encounter this issue.

Pretty sure the engineers have foreseen this and will default to the previous working firmware when signal is not good to DL and install the update. Much like your fone and Windows will hold the update till it gets a good connection.

Yupp, that should have been what should happen.
But it happened and it went viral, signaling another negative sentiment to own an EV.

This would rarely happen if the QA people are Japanese.
They will anticipate this kind of situation and will demand a release schedule extension or will hold the release with their own power until the major flaw won't be solved.
