duda ako na 103 octane yung E10.
PURE ethanol is 113 octane, would a 10% concentration raise octane ratings by SIX points (if using premium gas), or TWELVE points (if using regular)?

i dont care about the octane rating.what we wanna know is the long term effect sa makina, if there's any.

for computing new blended octane :
assume E10, thus
113 octane ethanol = 10%
95 octane premium gasoline = 90%
[(95 octane)x90%]+[(113 octane)x10%] = (N octane)x100%
then solve for N
N=96.8 octane

probably something like that, or at most, about 98 or 99 octane.
but i agree with glennster, i won't buy E10 for the octane rating. my car needs only 95, and can make do with 91 even. hehe

wala yan. E10 ang gamit na fuel sa maraming states sa US (madated by law) hehe
