Thank you po talaga sa mga comments and replies I really appreciate it! Manual transmission po ung pinaka bala kong bilhin pero I can't decide kung Corolla, Lancer, or Sentra. Ano year po ba ung okay tapos ung madaling imaintain kasi wala padin ako ganung alam sa mga kelangan ko imaintain. Ano po ba ung mga best features nung B14 na Sentra kung itatapat sa Lancer at Corolla? Thank you so much talaga sa mga replies.

having owned those three cars in the past , the corolla would be the most easiest to maintain, next would be the lancer.

    best features ng B14?

    - twin cam
    - all power (pati retracting windows)
    - personal opinion is that it has the most powerful engine among the three.

    cons

    - mas mataas lumaklak ng gasolina.
    - throttle body needs frequent cleaning

Corolla is the best of the three simply because of parts availability. The AE101 and AE111 are mechanically the same so getting either the early 90s or late 90s models wouldn't be much of a difference. The advantage of the AE101 (early 90s model) is the interior space is a bit bigger, especially in the rear seat portion.

The next I would recommend is the Sentra. The B13 or B14 models shares many mechanical parts especially in the engine and transmission. The suspension are different in these two models but replacement parts are common enough and easy to find. The 1.6L engine is powerful and torquey, fun to drive. The 1.4L variants have a touch less horsepower but more frugal on the fuel. The 1.3L LEC variants were the entry level models and came pretty bare of any power options except for the "1.3L LEC PS" models which had power steering included. According to previous LEC owners, this car sips fuel as long as you're light on the gas pedal. The B14 Sentra 1.6L has the most power options of the listed cars, having power steering, power windows, power side view mirrors, power folding side view mirrors and heated rear window.

The 90s era Lancer would be my last choice. Relatively poorer build quality results in many squeaks and rattles from the underside of the car. Body panels are more prone to dings and dents.

If Corolla kukunin mo, mas tipid yung efi compared sa carb. Mas madali maintenanace ng efi. Yung gli na variant kunin mo naka power na lahat yun

I still had a 93 Corolla in my garage. Bought brand new. It still runs well. And maintenance cost is not much. Nice car.

well, i have a 1997 1.4 eccs sentra. bought it brand new. and my only complaint is the rear passenger seating. masikip at mahirap pumasok at lumabas.. at medyo sumasayad kapag mabigat ang pasahero at mataas ang humps.

Kung pickup ang kunin mo, early to mid 90s lang. Old school na old school yun, if that's OK with you. Maingay, mabaho, masikip, matagtag... But given that it is in good condition, it should be able to get similar gas mileage as the compact sedans while sipping cheaper diesel fuel. Mechanicals are more robust, and it is very capable of fording floods and going through rough roads.

If you're OK with converted, the Delica or Hilux Surf fit your budget as well. They're more powerful and comfortable than the barebones local pickups that will fit your budget. You have to be very sure with the conversion though.

Sa 150,000 budget, mahirap kumuha ng matinong pickup. Either laspag na yan or very old. You have to peg it around 300,000 or double your budget to get a decent one.
