November 19th, 2016 12:51 PM #41From what I've heard the Accent's weaknesses lie on its suspension, as with most Hyundai's. There's also the lack of safety features like ABS and airbags. Almost all 1st gen Accent cabs developed turbo problems after just a few years of service, most likely due to poor maintenance and lack of proper cool down after a long shift.
I'd consider the Tucson too. More safety features and higher ride height are big advantages. Though it's 2.0 diesel only makes just as much power as the Accent's 1.5 due to using an older turbo and the lack of an intercooler.
