April 14th, 2013 08:59 AM #21but yeah, read on the mirage forums din para malaman mo kung ano tlga mga issues. lahat naman kasi minsan ay may lemon units....
matibay din naman nga tlga ang mitsubishi, we have a 92 galant and still running strong and it wasnt maintained that properly din till i started using it., my father and grandfather didnt maintain it much. medyo pabaya but it still in good condition.
imho maganda talaga ang vios, matibay and can get you to point a to point b without problems but for some reason i just cant seem to like it much maybe because it doesnt have something that sets it apart
Swift - handling and sporty feel
Mirage - goodies, gps etc.
like that. kasi lahat naman ng car sa tingin ko tatagal if you maintain it properly, if you dont kht pinakamatibay pa yan masisira yan.

hard starting - no experience
engine hesitation - no experience
soft suspension - suspension setup, not to be overloaded, body roll
btw, GLS CVT mirage naminLast edited by meledson; April 14th, 2013 at 10:28 AM.

April 14th, 2013 10:49 AM #23for a one time buyer ( I assume this means you do not buy a new one every 3-5 years or so), I'll go for the Vios if you can afford it.
go for the tried and tested models since you will be using it for quite some time.
my mother-in-law owns a 2008 Vios and it is still good except for the stiff clutch which maybe due to normal wear and tear.

Risk talaga ang di masyadong popular na models in terms of availability of parts outside of Metro Manila (or Kapalangan kung malapit ka don hehe). Even my dad's kahit-saang-sari-sari-may-pyesa AE101 still gets its parts via yours truly. If I were in your shoes I'll get the Vios (bias aside) but wait for the new model. Let the Mirage "age" a bit.
That being said we're getting a Mirage CVT because we already have a Vios E ATThe Mirage is smaller and IMO easier to drive/park. Space is not a big issue because my byenan will be driving it most of the time for their grocery and church runs.

Panong hard starting ba? Affected din ba mga push button models?
Road noise- extra deadening lang siguro yan.
shaky engine- given na sa 3 cyl format
bumababang suspension when loaded? Same experience ko sa Vios.
Mirage vs. Vios. No real winner. Know your priorities, it'll tell what car you really need.
