The many reasons you should never buy a Mitsubishi Mirage G4 in 2019 (Thanks Vios XE)

    1. The Vios XE has 4 cylinders versus 3 on the G4
    2. 98HP versus 76HP,
    3. 123nm versus 100nm
    4. EBD is standard on all Vios
    5. Brake Assist is rather important.
    6. It has stability control
    7. It has hill start assist
    8. It has curtain airbags
    9. It has knee airbags for the driver.
    10. Vios is wider by 60mm thats over 2 inches wider!
    11. Vios is longer by almost 200mm
    12. it has a 7inch infotainment
    13. steering mounted audio controls.
    14. excellent resale value

Are you now an SA at toyota? Heheheh [emoji111]️

I do agree that at 750k range, the vios xe just blew every competion out of the water.

I still believe in the following tiers for sedan:

    Below 600 to 700k - get g4 glx or vios j
700k to 800k - vios xe (new) or almera (before)
800k to 900k - city or probably accent diesel (they have not released price yet)

would you buy a g4 when you find out the frame twists/flexes?

    disregarding the reasons?

Appraently, for "most" buyers, they dont care. Bottom line is cost.
Let's go back a little bit and apply eon and alto as an example. Those cars aint safe based on ncap. Still many buy these cars.

As for me, i own a mirage (hb), and know most of its dark secret so i know this is a city car only and that's it.

Family owns 2 vios 3rd gen and i know and feel that they are def above the mirage.

Bottom line, price is king. If buyer only has a certain amount of money, they will get what is the most affordable that checks majority of their requirement. Unfortunately, we pinoys are not there yet in terms of safety awareness.

Bro. Mitsu is known to br very generous on discounts.
If sticker pice comparo, yes, it is close, but if real world setup, mitsu will give huge discounts.

So assuming you get a very conservative 40k discount, that is already at least 59k savings on the buyers part.
At this segment, medyo cut troat ang competition since target audience is those starter or has not have much savings yet.
60k can be diverted to another urgent need or investment or anything else.

The new vios doesnt have discount yet cause it is new. But maybe revisiting it sometime later would yield a different conclusion (when discounts are already there).

Eitherway, im still holding on my segement per segment bang for buck list (it is my opinion anyway and doesnt enforce it to others).

Oh.. and btw, gas cost pa nga pala. Hehehe.
Im hoping that the new vios has improved mileage compared to 3rd gen.

Considering the cost of maintaining a vios..its cheaper to operate aG4

Less oil..less fuel (lighter engine)..no steering fluid

    Panis yang vios mo

Got my 2018 mirage g4 gls *95k discount, Price tag of 769,000 less P95,000, but i like the safety features of vios new gen, until i found out vios xe. * P753k
Downside my mirage g4 gls doesn't have alarm.
Needed to shell out some cash for the alarm.

    Awts. Buyers remorse.
Didnt knew that they stripped the alarm on the gls. But at 675k, pwede na rin siguro.

Glx is still car to get if going the g4 route.
