My Accent makes 110hp and 235NM of torque. It flies.
Compared to my old Vios 1.5L 107hp and 145NM. ;)

Toyota - T for Torque
Honda - H for Horspepower
mas kailangan ang torque lalo na dito sa atin na kailangan mag-overtake. vtec is great pero matagal pa bago sumipa (at higher rpm range meaning you'll consume more fuel) and that delay in time for overtaking is a matter of life & death kaya mainam na as much as possible mababa ang peak torque like with modern day crdi, kapag tinapakan mo bigay agad ng power when you need it.

The high-revving nature of the Hondas don't necessarily mean malakas sa gas.
The R18A on the Civic actually has decent mileage. Also, even without having to use the upper rpms, kaya namang magovertake. I rarely found myself needing to go past 3000 rpm with an FD. Sa bagal magdrive ng mga tao, di naman kailangang flat out para makaovertake.
