If there is an option between 4x2 and 4x4, then it is more cost effective to opt for the 4x2 option. Unless of course, the vehicle comes standard in AWD only like Subaru.

If its gonna be the only car of the household. I'll pick the more versatile and robust car so Montero for me.

Kung bibile din lang ako ng crossover diesels these days, the purpose is just for luho at meron na ako at least two PPVs for daily Manila Grind.

anong crossover? It would be the Palisade.

Pero bago yan, na ka US , Europe, Iceland Aurora Lights na ko, nakapagdasal na ako sa Jerusalem at Greece at gumastos pa ako ng extra money sa Machu Pichu Peru to prove that there are ancient aliens

so what am I talking about, if after all that, 2 PPVs, a Minimalistic Japanese inspired house, an Ipad Pro 12.9 512GB, iPhone xS Max 512 GB with a backup iPhone XS, and traveled the whole world

Prefer the Montero on this comparison, even with the crying tail lights. You can remedy those if you don't like it.
Most nga meron.

A bonus, if the 4x2 on the monterro has cruise control, that would be my bet.

Upgrade and also family is getting big. 5 adults now + friends hitching would be a problem.
