in relation to this topic and to the thread keep your old car vs. buying a new one, a friend of mine owns a 2008 model toyota altis, brand new nya nabili, but when he rode at my 1997 mitsu galant in the front passenger car, he himself noticed na mas stable daw ang galant ko kaysa altis nya, stated otherwise, more comfortable to drive/ride yong old galant ko.

Sir Galant E SS, IMHO mas maganda talaga ride ng Galant. It being a luxury-class sedan. It has a very complex suspension system (I've owned a 1995 Galant VR since 2003 and gave it up just last April 2011). I was able to compare it against the Altis, Vios, City and maganda talaga ang ride niya. Just keep the suspension in top shape. Yun ang medyo mahal sa kanya because puro assembly yung mga nabibili mo na suspension parts.

Odometer reading: 127,000 kms
Acquired 2nd hand in 2007 with a reading of 79,000 kms
Still in very good condition and capable of long distance travel. Aside from the regular maintenance, the things replaced or fixed were the A/C, ball joints, and v-belts.
