If I can trade my Monty to the current Fort G AT for free, I'll do that
I like the LC200-inspired look.
For EGR blanking, I have a friend who did it in his Monty but got a CEL. Which was why I didn't consider it as an option. It's just that, the emission center douchebags know the weakness of the Monty, rev it hard, smoke will puff out of the exhaust. I feel my SUV is being abused every year when I get to register it.

November 23rd, 2014 10:18 AM #32narinig ko din yan about sa update ng fortuner. new engine daw and transmission ata yung update next time. pero i think ok na yung 144ps ng current gen, hindi ko din naman maeextend yung pag gamit since everywhere traffic dito.
salamat sa payo, i think i will get the fortuner next year mid April or May.

November 23rd, 2014 01:20 PM #35tama yung nag suggest ng montero and fort(stick to the choices)
caveat emptor- tama din ang sinabi ng isa na this vehicles, are nearing the end of it's life(design).
consider the crossover(small) only when your:
-single
-as a 2nd car
-as a toy(easy to drive small enough for those crap arse metro manila traffic good acceleration to avoid puv's and trucks)
but the fort and montero gets my vote

November 23rd, 2014 04:42 PM #38I'd go with the Montero. It's got commendable interior room, good ride quality and engine performance. I find it more modern than the Fort overall.
We have a Strada GLS Sport V. Did nothing with the EGR. We regularly load up with Seaoil Euro 4 diesel. Never notice any black smoke.

Primary choice would be the Montero. I have no idea about the variants now but back when i got mine, the only choices were glx, gls and gls se. (i got the gls,4x2 matic)
With the pics i see that are being posted now there are so many toys available for the 4x2 variant (navi, paddle shifts, cruise control, etc etc)
So for the price, i guess it is the bang for the buck option.
But IF ever TOTL variants are lined up, then Trailblazer LTZ gets my vote because of all its safety features.
