Where did you get the data?
cornering: Hairpin is for Civic? 90° corner is for focus?
How can a Focus be better in 90° cornering than a Civic that is good in a hairpin cornering [over 90°]? No offense, I'm just wondering. Thanks!

Hindi ba parang unfair if you compare
Ford Focus' Top of the Line TDci vs. Honda's Lowest Civic Model 1.8?

dapat ata Focus TDci vs Civic 2.0.
the Civic 1.8 is a lil over 800k while the Civic 2.0 with the k20 engine is over 1.1M. I think the difference in the price alone shows the difference between the two models. I would love to see a comparison between the top models between ford and honda.

Focus all the way for me, lamang Civic sa price but for many people that is the end all be all kaya mas madami paring Civic kaysa Focus.... Also sana merong A/T na Focus, personally kung may A/T ito baka ito na binili ko kaysa Civic, nakakatamad mag M/T...

I have a civic Si and the "new" 2.0S civic. My brother has a chipped Focus TDCi. The only thing I didn't like about the Focus TDCi is the weight. Even if it has 300+nm of torque the fact is that it's a 1400kg vehicle compared to the civic which is just over 1200kg. Fuel efficiency and mileage is great on the Focus of course specially now that fuel prices are sky rocketing. I also prefer a manual over an automatic. Looks, before, I chose the Civic hands down but I recently encountered a gray Focus at Trinoma with an excellent looking bodykit.. it was real tight!

Only difference now is that how much of the engine you can modify for performance? That's where a gas engine will win over a diesel hands down.

Tigas lang ng clutch ng Focus TDCi. Lumalaban sa left foot ko nung tinest drive ko! I couldnt imagine drving this on stop and go edsa traffic. Baka hindi na maging pantay ang right and left leg ko after. Mas malaki na yung left dahil sa tigas ng clutch . Alam nyo ba kung lalambot pa to after a while?

Meron A/T ang focus. Yung 1.8 Gas version nga lang. and I heard that its consuming 8-10 Km/L.

Any idea on how the Civic 2.0 performs? and yung consumption nya? puro kasi yung 1.8 civic yung feedbacks dito eh.
I really like the Civic better. and I really love the vtec technology, kaya I think its hard for me to believe that the Ford Focus has better fuel economy than a Civic. Although, I haven't really encountered a TDCi Focus yet.

I think the reason for your problem is that FOcus TDCi having a turbo engine, needs a better clutch than any other average cars. A semi-racing clutch would really be a pain in your knee kung hindi ka sanay. Talagang matigas yan pare. kasi kung average clutch lang kabit dyan, sliding clutch kalalabasan nyan. :D correct me if i'm wrong guys. :D

Yes I am aware of that pero kung 1.8 Focus vs 1.8 Civic eh sa Civic na ako mas value for money eh atsaka ang cool ng dashboard it never gets old....

I was saying sana merong 2.0L TDCi na A/T ayun para sakin ang killer.... Not kasi all of us are for sporty and performance meron din katulad ko na gusto yung tipid elemnt ng diesel pero di hassle mag drive even pag traffic....

Why are you even comparing apples and oranges?

The Focus is a damn sight more expensive so it SHOULD be better. C'mon. This comparison is flawed.

Ano kaya reason nila kung bakit walang A/T ang Ford TDCi?! Is it because of the Turbo Engine?
