Vans and mini vans are more suited for senior citizens.

sedans are more suited for senior citizens. easier to get in and out..
ask anyone, young or old, who has knee, leg, or back problems... but where to put their wheelchairs, is another issue.
the young ones and young adults, who have full control over their bodies.. these are the ones who "like" vans and mini vans.
sedans also offer smoother ride, minimizing insult to their aching bodies..

I guess it depends on the senior people's preference. Most senior people I know don't like sedans because it's too low and they would always prefer riding in Starex or Alphards. But to each their own. We will know once we hit that age.:D

I like the term you call your wife.

I remember a guy who calls his wife as "mother of three" everytime. . .
He stopped this when she called him "father of one". . .

i share the same opinion when scouting for a cuv. for comfort, it was a close match between the crv and rav4 for me. i got the former since it outweighs the latter feature by feature.

With the limited seat time I've had with the listed cars, only the Explorer seems like it can go toe to toe with the CR-V in terms of comfort. Seems to handle like a boat though.

I've only owned the 2 CR-V's and I can say comfort-wise they are fairly close, but the current gen handles a lot better while still being more comfortable. It also feels like the new platform is stiffer.

The only time the CR-V's feel a bit rough is on deep ruts off road when the suspension travel isn't enough. Then you'll feel the cabin pitch quite a bit. But the current gen probably places high on this list in terms of travel.

I'd give the last gen CR-V an 8 and the current gen a 9.
