April 25th, 2015 09:41 PM #11magkaiba rear suspension ng vios at corolla. Fully independent mcpherson ang corolla vs the solid axle beam of the vios. Plus the heavier weight of the corolla gives it a more plush ride compared to the lighter vios.
but space wise ,engine power, economy, vios still comes ahead.

kung halos pareho lang consumption ng 2e atsaka 4afe gli, might as well change to gli nalang ako .. same fuel consumption kasi fuel injected against carburetor .. but comes with the additional power of 1.6 engine ...
tama ba ??

April 25th, 2015 10:02 PM #13Yup. Actually mas matipid pa nga ang gli kasi efi na given na parehong well maintained ang 2e and 4afe. Power to weight ratio.

April 27th, 2015 02:58 AM #14Old corollas are durable. And people are starting to realize from others that those low-downs offered by car dealers are only making lives miserable, maganda nga car mo tapos Hindi ka naman makalabas sa laki ng premium
One reason why I kept a 99 model myself. Kung minsan masarap din old durable cars to traverse the metro. Di ka takot magasgasan, o ma-Carnap. And the maintenance is so cheap, tipong 2k per year sa PMS
I always see it more as an advantage than a disadvantage driving your old but brand new bought car. Protects you from inflation
Plus if ever you see those long lines sa morning news shows sa MRT and LRT, talagang ma-papaholld-on ka sa old car mo. Btw, old cars like these when restored cost about a brand new car's insurance

Sarap convert to sa euro 1 or euro 2, for keeps nadin to at daming engine na pwede isalpak.
Change engine ka ng 4efte, naka efi kana naka turbo kapa at tipid pa sa gas
