If you need a peppy small crossover, only the Chevy Trax has the engine (1.4L turbo) to match the torque of the engines of the 2.0L NA engine of CUVs. If you need AWD and good ground clearance, you need to spend a bit and get the Subaru XV.

had my fair share of experience with Ford, Chevrolet and Suzuki with after service.
One thing I like with suzuki they actually use generic parts, and consumables... available in generic auto supply... not as proprietarian as Ford and Chevrolet
again just my 2 cents
