Just to be clear, my "no quarter" attitude does not apply when driving at speed. Only when at a stop or at very slow-moving or crawling traffic. Particularly so, if the offender is a PUV. It gets my blood boiling to see them 'steal' your lane just to stop a few meters ahead to let in/out passengers.
When moving at speed, you are welcome into my lane as long as you do it legally and safely.

Normally, I'd choose a conventional AT over a MT because of convenience. But, when it comes to a CVT replacing an AT, I would rather have MT. I have reservations about a CVT's durability.
That is, I'd be fine if a CVT will last 14-15 years because at that point, it would be time to get rid of the car and buy a new one. Right now, I'm not even sure if a CVT will last 10 years.
