Checkout the Sorento 4x2. Old people need extra comfort so pamper them a bit.

Typical non-enthusiast pinoy perception is bigger car = mas bigtime ako.

Definitely a CUV gas much much easier ingress/egress than a PPV. Lamang lang ng PPV is 3rd row space and overall underchassis durability.

    i agree.
it was one reason why i have not purchased the new model innova yet.
    instead, i purchased a pre-owned, older model.
part of the issue was that no dealer at that time, could promise me my choice of last digit plate number.

For some, a vehicle is part of their status image. Basta mukhang big time, the better.

Dito na lang sa subdivision namin, kung makatakbo yung ibang naka PPV, akala mo may-ari ng daan eh.

I don't know if ganun nasa isip niya. Lol. Pero parang di naman "big time" thingy. Siguro more on mas gusto niya talaga malaki sasakyan dala niya mas safe sa pakiramdam niya. Im suggesting them na CUV o sedan na lang. Kaso kasi may times na binabaha na din kami sa Nueva. Kaya ayaw din nila kotse.

In part maybe that's true to pinoy taste in vehicles.. but i think another reason pinoy choose PPVs because its their next alternative to AUVs due to their "utility" and maybe also because of the jeepney culture we have.. diesel engine, tall / big and durable

Let me phrase it differently - people want to get the most value for what they pay for. People just have different ideas of value.

For many people, you get more value if you get a physically bigger car for the same price as a smaller car. Hence why people think a Fortuner is more valuable than a Forester even if both cost the same price.

I would say that it's also natural for people to equate cars to status or taste, albeit to varying degrees for each individual. I'll be honest and say that I really don't see myself buying a Vios because it feels too cheap and bland, so I feel the few hundred thousand difference vs a compact like the Civic is worth it.

Also the reason why we got a CRV over an Innova - you look like someone with zero verve when driving one. But it's objectively the most practical and best value for money car you can buy in the Philippines.

I lifted my frontier by replacing front coils and rear shackles, it didn't decrease the size of my appendage.
