Yup. It looks more upscale than its competitors, sans the new Santa Fe.

Mags nalang kulang dito sa Trailblazer. The stock seems a bit too small for its size.

Some of them are not forumers of tsikot.

Honesty is the best policy ;)

.... KUDOS sa iyo chief for sharing what is your true and downright experience about your ride, even if it means you have an attachment to it, like anyone of us do have anyway with each of our own respective brand of rides....

Hiding the truth from someone, especially moreso if he's just enquiring which car is to pick from his list of choices, is not helping him at all make the best purchase he deserves....

    Cheers!

I have been following this thread for a while and I was quite impressed with the Trailblazer specs. Sadly though, the lower end (MT) model does not have all the features the 4x4 (6AT) model has. Chevy PH now has all specs listed in their site.

In comparison, the Fortuner 3.0 D-4D engine is a 2001 base model powerplant, while the Fortuner 2.5 D-4D engine is a 2004 design, the Alterra 3.0 Ddi-iTEQ engine is also a 2004 base model powerplant, the current Philippine-issue Everest 3.0 TDCi comes with a 2007 base model powerplant from Mazda, while the Monterosport 2.5 Di-D non- VGT and GT-V engine is an old 1986 base model powerplant that was mated with an intercooler, a common-rail, an EGR, and series of different turbochargers over a period of 3 decades. While a lot of them smoke less visually to even nil, the Monetrosport's engine billows out the most smoke from time to time, which is much more so pronounced when one presses suddenly the accelerator pedal.

If you wish to have the SAFEST mid-size SUV of the bunch, get the Chevrolet Trailblazer as this SUV, just like its pickup-variant, the Colorado, has the highest safety rating for passengers in an event of severe collision or impact.

    Cheers!

This is also relatively NEW... google these keywords : The 2.8 L VM Motori turbodiesel is offered as options outside of U.S. as it does not satisfy the U.S. emission control standards

Seems like a large purchase order/shipment from Italy was denied entry in the US. It was abandoned somewhere in the west-coast (maybe near the San Diego Port?) then the north equatorial ocean current of the Pacific simply drift the ship further west of the US. After few years, the ship managed to cross the Pacific Ocean and landed Southeast of Asia.

Since the shipment just arrived so it is considered/treated as NEW. If it was not there yesterday or even seconds ago... of course its NEW...

    Hmmmmm... interesting piece of info.

Is it confirmed that this 2.8 L VM Motori turbodiesel refers to the exact same diesel engine used in new Trailblazer? So will this have any problem with Euro 4/5 fuel?

    Thanks.

Haha! Diyan ako bilib sa iyo chief eh, on your total reliance is the Wikipedia again, just like in TopGear PH.

No need to google this, dito ka kasi maki-tsismis: http://www.autoblog.com/2011/10/10/c...ickup-for-u-s/

....and you'll see it's a different VM Motori or an improved VM Motori powerplant, not the previous year 2007 400-Nm powerplant that Wiki told you so for the all-new global model Chevrolet Colorado that's headed for US (356 lb-ft or 480 Nm torque)....

Dito ka kasi ulit maki-tsismis sa mga official manufacturers website to witch-hunt, not anywhere else chief hehe ---- http://www.vmmotori.it/en/01/00/01/dettaglio.jsp?id=56

Could it be the RA428 engine, or even so, the mo-betta A428 engine, all Euro 5 emission compliant engines? Don't know, perhaps you know so.... Ask your trusted Wikipedia to provide you the info

Anyway, while you're at Wikipedia, no need to Google this as well:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Astron_engine

Your vaunted dinosaur-age year 1986 2.5-litre 4D56 engine started from 75 hp.... As years and 3 decades went by, it was mated with the following:

    1. Non-intercooled turbo; to
    2. Non-intercooled turbo 1st generation; then to
    3. Non-intercooled turbo 2nd generation; then to
    4. Intercooled turbo non-CRDi (water-cooled); then
    5. Intercooled turbo 1st generation Di-D common-rail; then
    6. Intercooled turbo 2nd generation Di-D; and most recently
    7. Intercooled turbo so-called 3rd generation Di-D with VGT....

AGAIN, from 75 hp to 178 hp (2.4 times more power, or 240%), PUHUNAN ay BOOSTING, not excuses

Bakit pala binaba na ang compression ratio ni dinosaur-age 4D56 from 21.1 : 1 then to 17.1: 1 then down to 16.5 : 1 for the past 3 decades, tinurbo-charged pati ng limpak-limpak pa, bakit mauusok pa rin?

Magandang huwag nalang patulan :hysterical:

    Cheers!
