Keep the altis.

I dont think there are major repairs needed on that altis naman since you didnt mention it. And if im not mistaken, this is the altis na nagsimula sa parang bug eye design and hindi pa lumapad bigla yung body na nagstart 2008. (correct me if im wrong there)

At 13 years old, medyo 'pako' naman na presyo niyang sa 2nd hand market. Selling it now or in two years, slight change na lang sa price, normally speaking.

While kung sa wigo ka nag swap out, you'd still have to eat up that depreciation so binawi lang din naman sa fuel savings mo na dahan dahan lang nakukuha, while upfront depreciation tatama sa iyo.

I would also think the altis would be a 'safer' car than the wigo given the trunk and longer hood for more crumple zones/area.

Recommending to keep the altis at least 15 years, unless there is something wrong with it na hassle to maintain na.

Keep the Altis. It's like letting go of a Civic FD to buy a Brio.

If you want a relatively newer car, get a previous gen Altis (2013-2019).

my altis has no body rust. magaling ang factory rust protection siguro.
body rust appears to arise from improper crash repair.

Maganda metals na gamit ng manufacturers now.. parang early year 2000 nag start yan.. kung may exposed metal nag form lang ng surface rust pero hindi nabubulok yung metal.. unless nag stay yung water sa area..

When removed the flooring carpet of the altis.. i'm amazed na malinis yung floor at walang signs of any rust or grimes.. also yung sound deadening materials nya are all intact at hindi nag melt or nag crack given its a 2002 model pa..

Hindi pa sir all orig considering na daily driven ito since acquired. Major palit ko lang dito yung aircon evap at parang malapit lapit na, front wheel bearings hehe.

Tibay ng toyota.. simple lang at madaling gawin... tsaka maluwag engine bay kaya madali mag tanggal kabit..
