October 4th, 2019 01:47 PM #121Most of the notary public in the streets are fly by night. I once had 3 deed of sales for cars done by different "attorneys" in different days but they all stamped the same seal and name complete with same signature. Halatang peke. Ito yung 100 pesos. Tinanggap naman ng LTO.
Yung 600, i went to a law firm and presented myself and the legal documents i want to notarize.

October 23rd, 2019 08:00 AM #124Hindi po ba yun validity ng ID ng seller ay magbe-based kung exired na or hindi pa ang ID at the time na in-accomplish ang deed of sale? Kasi di ba po tumatakbo ang oras...kung the time nagkabigayan ng OPEN DOS ay hindi pa expired ang IDs syempre after ilang years yun copy nun pa din ang hawak ng buyer.

October 23rd, 2019 08:06 AM #125i agree with you.
but my buyer got back to me, as the ID used back then, had since expired, and was asking for an un-expired ID.
i guess that means, transfer the ownership to your name, asap, to avoid complication.
don't dilly-dally.
is this lto's requirement? or someone else's ?

October 23rd, 2019 11:48 PM #127AFAIK LTO or HPG requirement that the IDs have to be valid at the time of transfer as well, particularly those of the seller. Plus you need two valid IDs of the seller.
Source: Did this just last month. Naka ilang balik din kami sa LTO because of small mistakes like these. Initial IDs presented were valid at time of notarization.Last edited by Dr.Kamiya; October 24th, 2019 at 12:11 AM.

November 1st, 2019 02:10 AM #128Question Lang.
I bought a car tapos Sabi ng nagbebenta nasa Macau pa daw yung first owner Kaya email na lng yung deed of sale.
Any advise on what to do?Last edited by Abbi; November 1st, 2019 at 02:16 AM. Reason: Wrong question

Binayaran nyo na po yung tao na nagbebenta pero wala pa silang pinapakitang original Certificate of Registration at latest Original Receipt ng registration ng sasakyan?
Kasi kung may signed deed of sale na po kayo at yung dalawang papeles na yan in original, not photocopy, form, you can proceed to have the car registered under your name.
Otherwise kung wala po kayong hawak na original documents, pa check nyo po sa nearest LTO office at baka may pending case yung sasakyan na yan. Or worse, God forbid, baka carnapped yan. That's one of the MOs of carnappers.
Good luck.
