If the car companies could produce similarly sized CUVs that gave the same cargo/passenger capacity, fuel consumption and price and if our road quality improves dramatically I imagine PPV sales will decline naturally in favor of CUVs.
Single car families, I'd agree to practicality taking priority....but for non-haulers, those just occupy way too much precious road footprint.

Bros- it would be interesting to see the results if there was a similar survey here in the Philippines.

Again,- preference and not limited by budget, if I understand correctly.

Yes bro, was merely replying to trav's post. I only made the assumption based on the feedback I get from car salespeople. That a lot more of their sales would be PPVs instead of sedans if the buyers were more financially capable.

Agree with the large footprint bro. Although the mantra "better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it" does still apply to the extra interior capacity.

Ahhh, the classic "self over greater good" mantra is what's hurting the nation now, brother. Those who give a damn are a dying breed.[emoji17]

Haha. That's an anomaly to the "Limit the space, stunt the growth" aquarium rule.[emoji848]We need more supporting data for a potentially great sales pitch & health advocacy, OB sir....[emoji16]

This pretty much sums up the argument why buyers opt for SUV/CUV than a sedan.

In the Philippines, people prefer CUV/SUV because they have better utility than a sedan. Here in the US, people prefer CUV/SUV because they're easier to get in and out of. So many people getting fat.

I was pushing to my wife to get a compact sedan for her company car but she opted for a small crossover. She told me she would consider a sedan if it is a midsize (Accord or Camry or Mazda6 or Legacy or Passat).
