April 12th, 2013 03:13 PM #569Good day mga sirs.
I would like to ask, anyone here have experience using Thunder Audio subwoofers? How'd this compare to Targa or JBL subwoofers?
Oh, and anybody experienced having seps which lack bass compared to OEM or coaxials? I put in amplified ( amp is 125w * 4ohms) 6.5" Infinity Reference seps in front and I placed my old, flooded and unamplified 6.5" blaupunkts coaxials at the back. I've noticed that the Blaupunkts push more midbass than the Infinity. All doors are dampened and sealed, and I don't have any HPF or LPF running. Ganito ba talaga ito?

Reflection inside the car isn't a problem. It's a standard and given. Just as long as the first reflection doesn't occur 5ms after the initial sound wave (aka no reflective surfaces within an inch), then that won't do much chaos inside the car.

Kindly do the separates -> deaden front doors muna. Then you can change your head unit and add an amplifier afterwards.

Go get a styro ball, cut it in half, drill some holes, mount your tweeter there then i-double-sided tape mo lang sa dash. Having a rounded and tapered back is important because of diffusion purposes and you have a MUCH smoother response than if you throw it sa box.
