ah talaga? magandang idea nga hehe..

pero sa stage 2... since malilipat na sa mono yng sub... yng rear dun na sa dedicated channel... hndi kaya parang di balance.. malaki wattage ng front pero sa rear mahina?

People who go for the SQ route won't put coax in their rear doors na. Sayang lang gastos.

Don't base wattage equals performance and don't think na more wattage automatically means a louder speaker. Feeding 1W of power to a normal silk tweeter and a horn-loaded tweeter will yield drastically different results.

For your 4 channel speaker, connect 1 and 2 to the front separates then bridge 3 and 4 for the subwoofer. Grabe yun original plan na front + rear on 1 & 2.

Yup. Go with what your installer recommends is a better idea tho. Since siya naman magtotono ng systema mo, better use an equipment na sanay na siya how to handle the interface, etc.

Uhhh, you need power (an amplifier) to power those subwoofers at least. Kilangan mo rin ng wires to run power to them.

Remember: Source (HU), wires, speakers, power source (either HU or amplifier depending on load). Ayan lang kilangan mo sa setup.

Oh, sell your capacitor. Di yan gumagana.

thanks sir mostly kc ng ginawa ko is DIY lang sir bale yun DSP ang end game ko budget set up lang ang kaya ko sir,
ang problema wala masyado good installer d2 sa amin na may knowlwdge sa DSP.
last time ko kc ginamit is 3 way electronic crossover but parang kulang sa staging/imaging.
need more input only on DSP settings.
nag lagay kc ako capacitor sa tweeter to protect it, do i need it also when i use a dsp?

If then so, just go with the DSP then. It doesn't take a PhD degree to learn how to use its interface and a -1dB is also a -1dB on more expensive DSPs.

For the DSP, the most important part is the output channels. Most DSPs for 2-ways costs 20K while the 3-way costs an additional 10K more. But they need not be expensive, miniDSP has been highly recommended by US car audio forum DIYMA for many years and that just costs like PHP5K-8K tops.

In running a full active 3 way system, I will highly recommend a capacitor on the tweeter as protection. Just remember to set the value appropriately as it acts as a first-degree (or was that second) slope -- aka it acts like a -6db xover slope with the frequency depending on the capacitor value.

Walang right or wrong sa tuning and getting the proper staging and imaging is pretty much the result of hard work. Many people start by doing sharp cutoffs and a low midbass cutoff (ex. 50/63hz on 2nd/4th octave) para nasa front yun imaging but ako nga I'm running with my midbass at a very high 100hz cutoff on 12dB slopes. Kanyang kayang tuning lang talaga yan.

    1. Don't be too fixated on subwoofer power. Unless gusto mo talaga yun bumabayo sa labas, even 150W is enough to fill your car cabin with enough bass.

    2. If mag-mono ka, saan mo icoconnect front mo? Sa head unit? In that case you'll be too subwoofer happy. In a LnC setup that isn't that bad but SQ wise your front stage won't keep up sa bass mo.

    3. Go for the 4 channel and try mo muna. Kung kumulang ka, then you can just add the mono amplifier and have the 4-channel amplifier para sa front speakers (1 channel per driver)

    Thnx sa advice jhnkvn..

been watching a lot lately sa youtube.. and isa sa mga takeways... do it once.. do it right.. obviously.. cant do it once since magastos (for my budget) yng gsto ko 'standard' setup. kaya planning to have it in 2 installments. w/ d advtge of enjoying good sound sooner..

but if i can get away w/o a mono and good enough bass.. kaya na cguro 1 gastos nlng ;-)
