Suporta ako kay renzo dito. You're placing too much emphasis on the NEED for a subwoofer.

Basically, plano mo is to retain stock speakers of the Jazz, retain the stock HU and just buy an amp and sub. It's an okay choice but you'll see bigger differences if you just replace your stock speakers.

Some choices available:
1. Retain stock HU, get a first hand kicker or a targa. Then you'll even have spare change.

2. Buy secondhand Pioneer HU, buy a secondhand Morel, Cadence, or MB Quartz. Sell the stock front speakers to add cash for the upcoming amplifier.

Konting so-so ako sa second-hand subwoofer eh. Mabilis yun cone nila magdeteriorate over use eh. Kalbo na nga JL sub ko nasa bodega after 5 years of use. If needed, look for woofers with less than a year of use. 2 years kung discounted talaga :D

1.KICKER C12 12+ V12 amplifier power punch NV805 + L ported + DMX gauge8 + installation = 8000

2.
JBLGT5-S12 SVC - P2300 + V12 amplifier power punch NV805 + L ported box + wires + installation cost = 7,700

thanks and god bless

Fading means that the sound is focused on either the front or back. For standard stock sounds kasi, the sound balance is... ayun, balanced . However, once you get your sound system going, you'll eventually fade the sound in front so you get the soundstage of being in a live concert.

The analogy is like this: If you're listening to a live band, notice that the speakers are facing you at the front. No speakers at the back or sides.

You can opt to uninstall the rear speakers completely, pero optional lang. Kung may kasama ka sa likod paminsan, just retain it or else magrereklamo mga yun kung bakit wala sila sound tapos sa harap meron. Just configure your HU and look for the fader settings. Fade it at the front para yun emphasis nasa harap.

If sound begins to be muddy at high volumes, time na para sa amplifier.. haha..

JBL and Kicker offer similar performance. But since you lean more on the bass, I'll go for the Kicker. Bang for the buck naman sila eh. They're loud, but their sound quality still needs improvement. Wala ako experience with JBL subs eh but I heard they're pretty good na rin.

Remove the front speakers since most of the time ikaw rin naman nasa driver's seat. Placing rear speakers is typically a no-no unless meron ka driver dyan

There are just two types of speakers:
1. Co-axial - this is the speaker design that has the tweeter and woofer close-by. Pioneer 6x9 3ways goes here. Dati uso ito eh since it was easily manufactured. However.. you should stick to..

2. Separates. This is where the tweeters are separate from the woofer cone. Tweeters are then placed head-level (normally placed on the dashboard malapit sa A-pillar or you can place them on the A-pillar).

Separates are generally favorable now since they offer a better soundstage compared to coaxials (most apparent due to instrument separation)

The need for an amplifier is dictated on how much is the power rating of your HU (which is why most beginner setup starts with a good HU ).

P.S. Don't look at the max power ratings, look for the "normal" power ratings.

sir jhnkvn.

TIA!!

mga masters newbie here.
