I just need something clearer than stock, to be connected to the stock head unit.
I am very happy with the 5K pair of Polks I bought when both the front speakers of our family Civic died...
I think you were very happy sa 5k polks kasi yung stock sound ng civic is not ok.
Less than 10k, you can try yung Pioneer A1606 worth 7k installed i think. Kayang kaya ng stock head unit yung power needed.
I have yung lower model and i can say na clearer than stock naman.

Totoo yan sir, but the sound system on the Fortuner and Camry is not so good din... Hehe
Will give those a check... ;)
Edit: Parang okay ito ah... These are 6.5" Speakers with Tweeters already?

For me, mas "ok" yung stock sound system sa camry than the civic. Hehe
Yes included na yung tweeters and crossover which is needed to filter the frequency from the high and low sound.
But i'll be honest, you'll need to crank the volume a little bit compared sa normal volume because these speakers need more power compared sa stock. But i think you're already aware of that kasi may experience ka na sa aftermarket speakers. Hehe

for less than 10k, I'd go for Morel maximo or Focal 165AS. Morel is known to be warm and focal medyo bright but it still boils down to tuning. If at least mga 45w rms/channel HU mo kaya na nyang i drive yung mga speakers na yan.

After narinig ko na yung cheap aftermarket set, the stock system sounds a little fuzzy kahit papano hehe.
Thanks din for the info!

Yeap. May baseline ka na kasi. It's like when my wife was complaining why my B&W speakers are so expensive eh meron naman mura at a fraction of the price dahil na use siya dati sa HTIB system namin. After na rinig nya ang difference tsaka lang siya nag sabi na iba daw talaga and yung sound and yung detail.

Parang ganun na nga. Hehe. Nakaka spoil...
Sana yung mga tweeters ng mga na reco ninyo will fit in the stock pods.
The Camry pods are a little big since nasa dashboard naman sila.
Sa Fortuner nasa side door and medyo maliit eh...

To get an idea of speaker prices, try checking the website of Mickey's Auto sound. Popular brands would include Morel, DLS, Hertz and Focal. I am currently using a Focal165AS and the current prices are lower now.

Planning to get the focal 165AS, how much do they cost now?
Magkano na rin usually ang cost ng sound deadening per door?
