Using Gyeon Bathe right now. Super concentrated, need a capful or less to wash a full size SUV.

I use Meguiar's® Gold Class™ Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner for my foaming and shampoo. Then followed up with Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer®.

With this, I find it very easy maintaining a black car.

Never ever use dishwashing liquid on your car's paint!! Diluted form or not. It will strip away any wax protection and will leave a thin dull film residue on your paint.

I've heard that you can use this to dilute your windshield washer. I haven't tried it so I don't know if it's effective or not.

Distilled water lang for me.

Car shampoos have a PH level of 7, which means it's neutral. Anything higher or lower than this, will strip your wax and shorten the life of your rubber seals and plastic trims which can lead to premature cracking and fading. It will also accelerate the oxidation process which can make your car paint look dull. Most dish washing liquids are considered as an abrasive as it contains tiny particles of solid abrasives or scouring agents. In other words, you are actually wet sanding your car and that is why your car looks dull.

My neighbor does this to her brand new car. I smh every time she washes her car with Joy dishwashing liquid with a sponge.

People, please. Would you bath with joy dishwashing liquid? Sure, it can clean, why not, right?

    SMH.

If it were me, just stick to dedicated, good car shampoos. It's simply not worth the risk and savings. If you need to strip wax, there are also products meant for that. Worst-case for me is a diluted degreaser.

Fixing paint, or even worse, repainting, is much more expensive than the small savings you get by using dish soap IMO.
